Views of dreams
Elevated in a glorious corner plot, you instantly get a glimpse of the views that wrap around this stunning home. Recently renovated to the highest of standards, the oven has never been turned on, the dishwasher stands unused – this house is longing for a family to call it home.

.
The current owner acquired 12 Ffordd Las with the plan to make it his family home, he began to renovate and upgrade - no expense was spared in creating his vision, you can see this from the materials used in the bathrooms and kitchen. But his work kept him away more than he'd planned. That is until this year, which has given them time to reflect on what they want long term. It is therefore with a heavy heart the owners have placed this immaculate home on the market, knowing that it has everything it needs, except for the love that only a family living there can give.

.
Careful thought has been given to the layout of this spacious property. From the generous entrance hall you can access the lounge and the dining room at the front; to take advantage of the panoramic views, the lounge and the kitchen are at the back. The kitchen has only recently been fitted and this fantastic space not only offers you plenty of room to cook, but also to entertain your family and friends. You can just imagine sitting down for a meal, with that view providing the most breathtaking decoration.

.
Off from the kitchen is the utility room, and also the study. Set away from the living area of the house, it gives you a private space for working from home, and means you can switch off and close the door when you have finished. “I work from home, and there is great WiFi connection and mobile reception, I couldn’t live in a house that didn’t have that.”

.
Upstairs is equally impressive, and the master suite, walk-in-wardrobe, is elegant and stylish. The ensuite even has a hot tub bath you can see your self indulging in a long bath, taking full advantage of its jacuzzi settings. The master suite is even blessed a small balcony, which again takes full advantage of those beautiful views. “I’d often sit on the balcony with my laptop, with just the sound of nature, and children laughing and playing in the nearby school, I find it really relaxing and joyful.” Also upstairs are three other bedrooms and another beautiful bathroom

.
Stepping outside, the recently finished, exquisitely laid patio provides an idyllic setting for you to relax with a tipple in the evening and soak in the views of the hills and valleys whilst the sun comes down. “Bonfire night is amazing, you can see all the displays across four valleys, it is a magical experience”. Bordering the garden are open fields, meaning your view is un-spoilt, providing you with the best scenery that nature can offer.

.
The owner had plenty more plans for this splendid abode. At the side of the house he was looking to place a resistant pool with built-in jacuzzi – swimming against the tide whilst looking over the valley doesn’t sound too dreadful to us. Yet this addition was only the beginning, “I’ve got planning permission to extend upwards and create a larger four-bedroom home, with a glass elevator and hidden staircase, with a large gallery landing. It is truly a design that would make it a Grand Designs house. Our plans have changed, but it would have been something unbelievably special.”

.
Rural as this house feels, it is extremely well connected. Within a 5-minute walk are a couple of local stores, and Caerphilly is only 2-3 miles away with everything the town brings. You’re also only a short distance from A469 which takes you into Cardiff city centre, ideal for commuting.

.
“I’ll miss the views over the valley, its tranquility as you sit on the balcony or patio. It’s so relaxing listening to the birds and the children cheerfully playing. But like many people, lockdown put things in perspective for us, and we know where we now want to be: a farm with some land. Yet, when I’m at the house, and see what we have created, I have to be honest, I am going to be sad to say goodbye.”
